Have any of you been to Flaming Gorge for a YM's camp (or other camp)?  Do you know of any cool trails etc. that are a must see?  I've never been there so it's hard to capture everything via internet photos.  I would love any ideas you have about a cool hiking trail or a cool place to visit.  Thanks, Rick Biesinger (Foothills)

  1. A few years ago we floated a section of the Green River right below the dam. It is beautiful and definitely worth considering if you are out that way. We did it twice that day because our boys liked it so much. It is a pretty popular spot with scouts and youth groups. There is a trail adjacent to the river there called the Little Hole Trail that you can see the same things as being on the water, if you want to hike not float. We saw desert bighorn sheep that day up on the ledges and the boys complained that they already saw bighorn sheep on the two previous campouts and they were not really that interested this time!

    1. Thank you! Yes, we are floating 7 miles of the river, right below the dam, so sounds like we are on the right track with that at least. Thanks again. I appreciate your thoughts.
