Please comment on this blog with the names of the YM who will be attending each badge from your unit. Each YM can enroll in 3 badges. I will adjust the timing to best accommodate the number of YM enrolled in each badge.
The Pow Wow will be held from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM October 27 & Nov 10.
Please post any questions.
Thank you for arranging this! We will definitely participate. (I will submit names and merit badge choices next week.)

ReplyDeleteI do want to let you know that for the Pow wow coming up our Ward would like to suggest Communications and First Aid merit badges. We are working on other specific suggestions and will get those to you in the next 2-3 days. But I would suggest merit badges that require special equipment or activities that are needed and couldn't be obtained easily on their own. Such as Archery, Fire Safety, Rifle Shooting, Genealogy, etc. We would love to see more than 3 merit badges done if possible which would allow more young men to participate. Merit badges like Archery or Rifle shooting if done could be done over a longer time and available for those that don't need other merit badges and would like to do this even if it takes all the time and they can only do one merit badge. Just a few suggestions. Thanks for all you do and we will get back to you with other suggestions.
I know a lot of YM have the Citizenship merit badges and to do Emergency Preparedness you have to have the First Aid merit badge don't you ? But I like your choices and didn't know if that is all that you are planning on doing or possibly more ?
ReplyDeleteDo you think we should add First Aid? Any others you think we should add?

My scouts who attended the Stake Merit Badge Pow Wow gave a very positive report. Small classes, well prepared MB Counselors, individual attention, accomplished a lot in class.
ReplyDelete(Oops, I clicked on publish too soon...) I wanted to thank you stake leaders for organizing it and making it happen. Thanks a lot!
